It's just aggressive, defiant, petulant stupidity. Nobody is REALLY that dumb - I just can't believe that. They just think that's what they're supposed to say in defense of their team. I've seen some "Christians" who take a sandbox kind of glee in infuriating people with the obstinacy of their retardation.
Some people have said "But Creationism IS logical" - one guy even has the gall to add "Get your facts straight." It's true, of course, that you can begin with any premise whatsoever, no matter how absurd, and construct your entire universe around it. The world is 6,000 years old? Fine. One simply forces the evidence to the hypothesis. The only real objection to this is that it's inconvenient. Take Copernicus, who first suggested that we all agree to pretend the sun was the center of the system rather than the earth, because doing so simplified the math. He had no other "agenda," he didn't even ask to be taken "literally;" but the Church's negative response was based exclusively on its need to protect the "literal" interpretation of scripture. In the same way, modern biologists aren't on a mission to destroy religion. Most could care less. But when their research unveils facts that appear to discredit the bible (taken as literally as a 5 year old would take it), hard follows The Reaction in the form of massive counter-campaigns of disinformation and demonization. This is why dogmatic religion is always anti-knowledge and anti-progress - it has graven "Truth" in stone, and it's authority depends on making sure that no new evidence surfaces to contradict it.
I don't say that the average "Christian" is aware of all this; only that most just respond the way they've been trained to respond, regardless of how ridiculous and irrational it obviously is.

virtually each of the requested records were given. the in person-friendly words ones in dispute, and the in person-friendly words ones being tagged with authorities privledge are Holder's criminal specialist 'notes' from after the Feb. assembly and some inner authorities communications. and clearly the records mistakenly requested with assistance from Issa that Holder replaced into no longer legally waiting to grant. such issues as Grand Jury testimony, wire tap logs, and so on. What does no longer make experience to me is that if the committee needs to do an entire analyze of this methodology why have they no longer interviewed a unmarried individual from the Bush administration the position this software began below the call huge Receiver? The contempt charge on Holder is fairly in simple terms political video games. If the living house votes for it then it is going to the D.C. prosecutor the position no longer something will be executed about it. the living house could fairly be focusing their energies on passing the Transportation bill (which will open up 1000's of jobs) or the pupil personal loan rates of pastime revision.

What defies Logic and Common Sense, is believing that HUMANS or any other being came from "something else"?
If a building exists - do we have to SEE the DESIGNER to know it was CREATED by someone?
I'd rather believe in a Creator, who designed and created me as the Wonderful and Unique person that I am! With all my gifts, talents, and ablities.
By the way, did you know that some "theory of evolution" scientists are trying to imply that a human and an ape; (GAG) had sex?? Is that LOGICAL and where's the COMMON SENSE?
Common people THINK!!
"Each species uniquely and wonderfully created ACCORDING to their OWN KIND!"

Good question!
Actually,it's the evolutionist that defy common sense.
When you take everything into consideration and go back to the beginning you understand that the chemical reaction required to make the evolution process begin logically can not take place.
Really! think about it.
In order for evolution to happen you would need to have a reaction equal to two grown men merging together to make one complete human.
Sure ,it happens in the comic books and in movies with those dynamite special effects, but in real life.
Come on!
In a pure environment everything is as it should be
A protoplasm is a complete entity not something waiting to merge.

Creation is supported by logic...
Get your facts right!
Is logic that we are accident? That the earth, which is the right size, the perfect distance from the sun, has the perfect tilt, mixture of gases to support life, and a life cycle.Do we see accident in ourselves as humans...No? We have brains and a nerve center that store knowledge and memories plus it tell us when we are in pain. We have ears that we can hear just the right amount not to little so we could hear others talk and not too much we can hear air molecules passing through our ears. We have eyes to see plant and animals and all creation.Does that defy commonsense?

Sigh, again with this question. Creationism isn't just based upon faith or the Bible. There are legitimate scientists who consider it as possible as evolution. If you actually look into it rather than believe someone else's words you'll find that it's supported by mathmatics. It also isn't just about, poof, things appear. Please get some real facts before being so rude as to imply people who believe it are just ignorant fools.

Probably the same reason you think some great explosion created common sense. Boooooom! there you have my answer. Faithless person
Speaking about thinking, Faith does not exclude thinging. We chrishians just choose to acknowledge God. Whom we can't see.
Speaking of hating: The "religion" of Atheism is just that. Those who hate God and refuse to acknowledge him as God.
Solution: Man up! Just come out and say it. You hate the light. Poor baby!

The same reason the church once denied the world was round, the earth revolved around the sun, and that they still deny man shares an ancestor with the monkey and the chimp--they find reality scary, and it's easier to believe in a fantasy world of good vs evil than to deal with the world on its own terms--here on earth, grounded in reality...
That, and if the church started accepting evolution as opposed to creationism, that's just one more nail in the coffin of Christ that he supposedly wasn't buried in ...

Why do some people defy logic and common sense by supporting things like abiogenesis and the cambrian explosion?

Because some people are born and raised in the belief that the Bible is literal, so no matter what the evidence is to the contrary, they believe only that.
