No..... well, they are living things, but not living SENTIENT things.
Usually folks consider sentient and sapient creatures to have "souls".

It depends on your definition of soul. Aristotle taught that all living things had a soul. The soul was basically life force. There were different degrees of soul, according to Aristotle, from plants to humans, which have the highest form of soul. This is a really down and dirty summation. I am too tired to take it further. Can somebody ask Paschal's Wager? I need a drink!

All living things have currants of energy running through them. So I suppose that would be kinda like a spirit or soul. Sure, why not?

A plant has a body.
(yes, it's a living thing)
An animal has a body and a soul.
(living and feeling/thinking/reasoning)
A person has a body, a soul and a spirit
(living, feeling/thinking/reasoning, and made in God's image)

depends how you define soul. according to Aristotle all living things have a vegetative soul that organizes the thing precisely as a living organism; then animative souls as animals, then intellective souls as intelligent beings (people). the only one that was immortal, according to Aristotle, was the intellective soul, because it was the only one that understood and had to do with eternal being (truth)

I don't know about "souls" but as part Amerindian and a Witch I believe EVERYTHING has a spirit.
