your body is getting ready for labor. you might want to take the doctors advice on the bed rest especially if your swollen (legs, belly, feet) put pillows under your feet and keep them elevated. try to rest as much as you can. when i was preg, i had the same symptoms when i was 35 wks too. the day after my symptoms started i delivered my son. so make sure you have everything ready tonight that you will need, just in case. i hope this helped you out some, good luck to you and congrats on your new little bundle that will be arriving soon!!!!

It sounds like your body is getting ready for labor but the problem is that 35 weeks is still premature. I am 35 weeks today and I am having a lot of pressure and discomfort and I can tell the baby has dropped but I am crossing my legs so he doesn't come out yet! I am not ready! So it sounds like your baby has dropped and now all the pressure is in your hips, pelvis, and back. Really uncomfy!

At 35 weeks gestation the baby is still putting on weight and his lungs are almost fully developed. If he were to be born now he might end up in intensive care with immature lungs and a feeding problem. Take your doctor's advice and rest and try to make it at least another 2 weeks. Trust me...it's worth it!

Good luck!

You should not be trying to induce labor with raspberry leaf tea at 35 weeks. You need to wait until you are at least 37-38 weeks. As for the pressure? I've had that going on for about 4 weeks now. I'm 38 weeks. Baby's dropped, head is down. I've been feeling pressure on my cervix, my backs been killing me and it hurts when the baby moves. All normal at this point though. All you can do is wait. The reason they probably stuck you on bedrest is because you've been doing things to bring on labor and the baby's lungs still need a couple more weeks to finish developing before he/she is born, otherwise there may be complications.

Bed rest!!! Its ok to rest for the last few weeks! you really need to get to 37 weeks for the health of your baby! THink of it as the last time you might get some decent sleep!

You can obviously be online so take that time to read all you can about newborns!
