Hey, I have recently been smoking more than I should... Basically from 1 to 2 smokes per week socially to 5 to 6 a day now. I now have pain in the right side of my throat (feels like its on the right tonsil) Is this just from smoking or could it be worse?

It's the smoking. I suggest you try and cut back as much as you can. My grandfather just recently found out he had lung cancer from smoking.

If you keep smoking it's more then likely possible that you will develpoe a serious problem that you might not even become aware of until it's too late.

It could be. Or it could be a stone in your parotid gland. I got one the whole under side of my jaw used to swell up and I looked like I had the mumps. You should quit, of course, but at least cut back and see if it goes away.

I used to feel stupid sucking on cigs. What a sucker I was to even buy them.

Quit and if it still hurts, see a dr. Better still, see the dr anyway. Better safe than sorry.
