Since the 21st Century won't be over for a hundred years, I cannot say what books are or will be the best of the 21st Century.

Nora Roberts, Janet Evanovich, Sandra Brown, Janet Dailey
These are all light reading and fun. That is what we need in the 21st Century.

None. All of them are mediocre. I agree with the first person: Read books from the early to middle 20th century. This century sucks.

I personally enjoyed Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.

I thought it was really good, but it's probably a really easy reading level. I read it in fifth grade.
