Okay because of my bad math grade I don't have any TV, computer, or radio until school's out. But at my dad's TV is all I have to do. Plus I LOVE music, I can't live without it. He won't give it back. Is there anyway I can get them back?? If not does anyone have any suggestions on what fun things to do while I'm stripped of all electrioncs?? Oh and no friends are allowed over.

Start working. Clean the house, do the laundrey, get all your homework done. Prove you are as mature as they expect you to be. Dont complain, just do things for others. It isnt hopeless but if you dont do anything about it then it is.

Compromise with your dad and set up at incentive plan. Study hard now, while you have no other entertainment, and if you earn a passing/decent/higher grade on your next math quiz, you are allowed to listen to music again. The next good math score (on test or quiz or project, not just homework) earns you computer rights, and the next earns you TV rights. You can have one friend over at a time if you are studying, and once ALL your grades are passing/decent, you can have multiple friends over again.

But you agree with your dad that your math homework will be completed each night BEFORE you use any electronic entertainment.

In the meantime (since you're already breaking the rule by being on the computer now), enjoy the nice weather by playing sports outside, or reading a book.

Your dad will probably agree to most of these compromises, since they are very reasonable and show a mature recognition of the importance of both study and play.

Use this everytime you do something wrong.

Acknowledge what you did
Explain where you made the mistake
Explain what steps you are taking to fix the problem
Show the progress your making
Ask for your privledges back

Nobody wants to hear excuses just how you are going to resolve the problem. Once you show them the errors of your ways and that you are back on track you have negotiating power. I am a parent and this is how I teach my kids. If they are in trouble and bring home a bad grade if they show me and prove they are fixing it I would probably give them their privledges back. Act like an adult. Don't whine and you will probably be treated like an adult.

Buckle down and quit feeling sorry for yourself to begin with. You are in this mess because you spent too much time listening to music, visiting with friends and watching TV. Now you need to get yourself back on track with your studies. Gee whiz! No fun! Do it and enjoy it because if you bring yourself back enough to catch up with the class you might not fail that subject this year. If you start bringing home A or B papers your parents might relent on some of the restrictions. Just because they relent don't go crazy and neglect your studies again.

Well, how about you study math really hard, get your teacher or someone to help tutor you and bring your grades up. If you make a significant grade improvement show dad the proof and see if he will lift the restriction. Sorry but, I think right now you need to be concentrating on getting that grade up instead of what to do for fun.

You caused the restrictions yourself, now prove you deserve to have them lifted by getting your grades up where they belong.

Focus on your math skills, at least try, that's the point of taking your privileges, to make you realize that you are not doing what is required to earn the right to have privileges, So now you have a clue do what you need to do, and all will be well.

Wow, that is harsh. Even for me! I'd get bad grades and not have that happen. I still made it through college too.

You won't die from music deprivation. Ask your dad that if you study or get a tutor for math if you can at least listen to your tunes for an hour or so a day, if you study for an hour. Try to do a trade off.

Or bribe some computer whiz to hack into your schools main frame and change your grades for you!

Easy, get a kick *** math grade, while upping your other grades as well. Then ask if you can get your stuff back and you promise to uphold the new grades.

Yeah, you're hopeless. There's nothing else to do. Might as well improve your math grades. Do whatever it takes.
