Why do Christians think they religion is the only path to peace?

I keep reading questions about Christians and how they think Jesus will save you and all that fun stuff.

You know, I tried that path. Many of us has. So why do you try to bring us back from it? We know the lies, contridictions, and just flat out myths of the Bible, so why do you try to bring us back to your faith?

I found my peace in Witchcraft. I don't think I will return to being a Christian because it is so hateful. More wars were caused by Jesus freak than any other war...i.e. The War on Terror...

You know guys, I didn't ask for a lecture. I wanted answers, not to be heard that I am on the wrong path.

Have you ever considered that Christianity isn't for everyone? That there are more than one path to peace? I was just wanted answer and maybe broaden some minds but I see I have failed.

I totally agree on this topic. I wanted to be Catholic as a kid, and I went to church every week with my aunt. I don't know how or when I became an atheist, but I know that adding a deity in my life isn't going to make me any happier. Probably more depressed, actually. I don't like the thought of life being a test.

Christians honestly believe that Jesus is the only way to eternal life and they also believe it is their duty to inform us of that and to do all they can to save us from hell. This is the reason that they do what they do.
There may be some that are here to incite, insult and harrass, but the good ones are just trying to help.
If we show them tolerance, perhaps we can then expect the same.

Because their holy book tells them to. Let's just face it, western monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) are very self-absorbed. They all extend from the same God (the god of Abraham) and this god is a (quote) "jealous God."

Besides, it makes some people feel good to think of life as a multiple choice exam of which they've scored 100.

Jesus is the way and the only way! The Bible says any other road is destruction! It's a bummer that someone might have misused the name of Jesus. We as Christians should be a light to this fallen world not a stumbling block.

well!!!! lets look at this way! first the reason you found peace in witchcraft is-becouse satin has you where he want's you-secound jesus didn't start any war like you said,satin started the war when he want'ed to take over god, and god will finish it at the end!! next thing,if you where a christian. then satin would bother you all the time, just look around you, now really think hard! how do you think that you got here?
and at least but last--> if you ever got hurt bad near death or something happend to one close to you, whats the first thing you might say?----oh god!!! or jesus!

Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light, no man comes to the Father except through me."

You are a lost sheep that has chosen to not let Jesus be a lamp unto your feet. To be your Shepherd.

You know enough of the Word, yet you reject it with excuses. Did you really diligently seek God's face? Did you read His Word - Just you and God? If you did you would not have so many excuses for coming to the Savior.

Still the Holy Spirit has to prepare your heart to receive and draw you to God. So it appears by your comments above that you have chosen Satan as you Lord. The one who energizes men to disobedience and encourages all doctrines that are contrary to the Scriptures because it detracts from Jesus Christ.

Not all Christians do. I'm what u call a non-practicing Catholic, meaning i dont go to church or pray all the time, or meditate, i feel i have better things to do with my time; i believe there's no right or wrong faith, good people are good people, and bad people are bad people, and they get punished or rewarded accordingly.

If you tried that path wholeheartedly then you would not have found hate. No one is trying to bring you back to something you don't want. If you find peace in witchcraft, I'm sorry that you've taken that path, but it's not up to me to judge what you do.
