My hair is, for the most part, exactly like yours. I had the same problem- frizzy hair, fly-aways, poofy to the max. Then, I discovered the God of all products for frizzy hair- mousse. Garnier Fructis makes a very reasonably priced mousse that I use every day. Need help on styling? After you take a shower and your hair is still wet, dispense a large dollop of mousse into the palm of your hands. Flip your head upsidedown, and scrunch the heck out of your hair. Flip your head back over and scrunch it a little more. Let your hair airdry. I repeat, let your hair AIR DRY. If you blow dry your hair, it will make it EXTREMELY poofy and somewhat resembling an afro. Not good. Other than that, your hair should look great!

My hair is straight as an arrow; you are lucky. My sister has very curly hair and hated it all the time. Finally she went to a hairdresser who specialized with curly hair (not for blacks, I don't know how she found him). He gave her a style that used her curls to her advantage and she looked great. Plus her hair was much easier to take care of.
Maybe you could do the same.

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

It depends. If you want straight hair then straighten yur hair and use straight shampoo. It helps. Also use tons of conditioner!
