My family has some dishes that we traditionally serve on Lenten Fridays. My mom makes "salmon patties" (flakey salmon in "scrambled eggs") and we will often have tuna melts. When we were younger, we had a tradition of going out for HUGE ice cream sundaes one Friday eat Lent to help soften the restrictions. (I grew up in a family where we followed all the rules and I had to give up something every year, so it helped!)
When I was living alone, I would often have yogurt and granola; cheese, veggies, and crackers; veggie pizza; or lentil soup on Lenten Fridays.

Normally Pizza, as I don't cook on Fridays. However, tonight our son made a rather good leek, stilton and potato soup.

I don't practice Lent, but I've heard you can't eat meat, except fish.
