I had been going out with the same guy for four and a half months, and I just broke up with him on Wednesday.
I'm just wondering... how long should I wait before I move on and get into another relationship? My goal is not to make him jealous or get into something serious; just to go out on a few dates with someone, maybe get a little physical, and have fun.
So, how long?

That all depends on how you feel now that it's over. If you still miss him or you're angry because of something he did then it's good to wait until those emotions where he's concerned are neutral. It doesn't hurt to go out on dates but sometimes if you do that right off the bat you never get to deal with the unresolved feelings with your ex. So how long really depends on u could be a couple of months, 6 months or even a year but so check ur feelings and then decide.

Do not jump into something right after breaking up with someone. You'll either look like a ho, or he'll think you broke up with him to go out with this other guy. Wait a month or two. BTW, are you wanting a relationship or not? Your question was kind of here and there about that.

Four months? I wouldn't categorize that as a serious relationship... So I would go out when ever it tickled my fancy.
If we were talkin' 4 1/2 years? Then I would say take yourself off the market for at least a year to get your bearings. :)

I would say at least a month..You need time too heal and just be by yourself and learn things about yourself,and ask questions.Like what do want in my next relationship, why didn't the last one work out, and am i ready for another relationship..When you can answer these questions then your ready..

If you broke up with him, then he should totally expect you to get into another relationship whenever you want! He has no reason to be jealous, unless you broke up with him 4 another guy! But yea, don't even worry about it! Date whoever you want! You're not bound to him anymore!

well, i dated one girl like two hours after the hour once, and well, i thought the old girl friend wouldnt find out cuz i didnt want to hurt her, but it totaly backfired the next day. might want to wait atleast a week. but since it was four months, that should do it lol, if it was like yeeaaars id say wait longer lol
