i wanted to get mine pierced soon & i was wondering whether its a good idea

I have one and it is fine, now my sister had one and hers got infected, it all depends on if you get it done by a professional and make sure you follow their instructions. The people that did my sisters told her nothing and gave her no instructions or antibacterial soap, I on the other hand got the above and I have had mine now for 5 yrs with no problems.

the think about a bellybutton piercing is that you have to have a great body, flat stomach, and be young for it to look good. personally i really like them. when i got mine done it really hurt because they do it with a needle so you should consider that too. also when you remove it there will be a small scar.

It can be good or bad, its a possibility that your body will reject the piercing and it will grow out or if your body size changes either way it'll shift onto it's side and you'll have to let it close up and get it repierced.
I agree its def cute but when all things said and done it can be a pain in the *** to have it.

I've had mine done for 9 years now....i wanted to get it to be different (I was in 7th grade), but now it seems like everyone has it done these days. If you have a cute belly button, I would suggest leaving it un-pierced. Really it's got to be your own decision b/c there always is the risk of infection and what-not. However, it you do get it done good luck w/ it!

it depends. My mom works at a teen health center and has sooo many cases of teens who have had their bellybutton peirced and have had major infections! And there are no so pretty consequences. Also this girl in my math class got hers peirced in december. It got caught on her shirt and ripped out. not so pretty. although they are cute you may not want to deal with the consequences. GOOD luck and be smart.

It can get infected, but it should be ok if you take proper care of it. Belly butten piercings look cute on toned stomachs, but not on flabby ones.

It is ok, but you need to take care of it properly. Because that is one of the worst place to get infected. It looks really cute on a flat, toned belly.

Well they do look really cute on flat stomach and on the right girls. So yeah go for it if you think it would fit you. But i heard they can get very infected and crusty... and they can hurt if you don't take proper care of it.

i had my belly button piercing done wen Iwas 20 now i am 25 I like it I also have my tonge pierced.

do it!!! i got mine done years ago and i still havent regretted it. just make that you dont mind having a really tiny scar where it's pierced wen u take it out
