make sure he has lots of toys to play with. Bring him along to do most chores. keep talking, singing, have him touch items, etc. Lots of things to keep him occupied and grow at the same time.

If you need to do things around the house and he is content laying down, it is fine to put him down but you do not want to keep a baby this young laying down all the time. Babies need to be held and loved. If you have a sling, put him in there! The closeness will do you both good.

at 2 1/2 months this is normal for babies to look bored and to not have a lot of expression.

The best thing you can do for your baby is to hold him and interact with him. He will get so much more out of you interacting with him than toys at this age. You can read or just talk to him as you are doing things.

Before you know it, your son will become more expressive it just takes awhile before they show it.

As far as sleeping, babies at this age will sleep when they are tired and ready and wherever they are put down.

I hope this helps! Good luck to you and your son!

Well maybe he sleeps outside because he likes the air out there? It may be too clamy inside for him. Try getting an air humidifyer and that my help. As for entertaining him..... Try smiling at him and making him laugh. Give him toys he enjoys and stuff like that. Good luck and I HOPE this helps

FRESH AIR for both answers. Leave the window open a touch let the air come in. Bored? Put him outside SUPERVISIED in his bouncer or stroller. Walk with him, read to him, just interact with him.
