mine and my fiance's love but I dont want it to be hearts and our names. What should I get???
I wanted to get a moon with stars because our song is I swear by john michael montgomery and in the song it says "I swear by the moon and the stars"

Popular these days seems to be the chinese symbols so you might want to see what the chinese symbol of love is. you may also consider a pair of wedding bands these represent permanency (might scare off your man though, LOL), cupid, or even a pair of roses. or you can sit down with him and you both can get matching tats to show your love for each other. Discuss it with him.

I cant stand the haters that say "a tattoo is forever, a marriage is not" I mean you never get married with the divorce attorneys card in your pocket do you? Hopefully it IS going to last a lifetime. I think that the moon and stars is a good idea, get matching tatts, has meaning to you and will also remind you of your guys love song. Good Luck.

I think you should get something that signifies love in general. I have been with my hubby for over 20 yrs. and he doesn't like tattooes. Our 21 yo son got me my zodiac sign 2 Mother's Days ago and I love it. As to putting some guy's name on your body, I wouldn't do it. As much as i adore hubby, we both agree his name should not be placed on me. If I am to put his name as a tattoo, it will be b/c I put our 3 sons' names on me. The 2 little ones each have his middle and first names as their middle names( Christopher Earl and Alexander Joseph). Good luck with the tattoo and the marriage!

my wedding song was "i swear" too.
i think the sun and the moon is good. think about EVERYTHING that might be a great idea, before you put it on the skin. tats are great, but permanent, so make sure that you are totally sure of the design. talk to a tattoo artist and your fiance.

The moon and the stars idea sounds good, I'd go with that. Just get the artist to customize it for you, don't get a flash tattoo.

I have a friend that has a heart with a lock and key with hers and her husbands names inter woven. I think that it really is neat. I have one that has a ribbon banner that says best friends always and then a wolfs heart with Mike & Linda.If you don't think it will be a forever thing don't get one that is very big and remember that you asked for it to be put on your body, no one made you do it. You could always have a dozen roses and his name under them, or how about your zodiac symble sign. For it to really mean somethingspecial he should also get thesame one.

the moon and star is a cute idea especially since its a part of something special that you both share. I would customize the style of the design further, for ex. if your irish get a celtic moon or star and whatever he is get something that reflects him. that way its even more unique.

Not to sound pesimistic .. but I have a Crescent moon with a star lily laying in the cradle part and my husbands name under it.. when i got it i got his name done in a light bluish ink because if god forbid we were to get divorced i can add a cloud TADA instant cover up ...

a tatoo is forever, a boyfriend, husband etc. is not. Instead of your combined love, why not something about love in general? Something that should the worst thing happen your next boyfriend etc. would not be reminded of this one. Roses symbolize love, Red is true love, yellow is friendship and joy, coral and orange roses mean desire, purple roses are love at first sight. So how about three small roses intertwined, a red, a yellow and a coral or orange? Another way to go would be the Chinese symbol for love or the celtic love knot

remember your first date or the time you first met. That'll spark some ideas. foe ex if you met in paris get an effile tower. It'll remind you of ur first date! =] cute! Good luck
