If you had said a little more as to how this affects your life, then I could readily advise you. However, for some reason you have not; maybe you resent your father having split in the first instance from your mother!

Do you get on with his new love?

Yes? Then trust him!
No? Why not - is there something you don't trust?
Can you get over this hurdle and support your father?

Your father has the right to a relationship, and it shouldn't be for you to question this.

First of all it is not your fault. Some people male or female don't know how to make a comittment and fear responsibility. Talk to your pastor or a social worker. Rainbows is a program for little children of divorced parents. Maybe you can work in the program and help kids and help yourself. Stay in touch with your dad when he runs away and don't alienate him. Stay in touch with him even if he doesn't. This way it is like playing ping pong, you send your love to his side and see what he does. Wait for him to make a move and eventually come back to you through mail or whatever. You won't have any guilt this way. Sorry for your loss. Prayers for you too!

Let him, he will obviously be happier. I mean a single dad is more than likely a depressed one when it comes time to go to bed and hes all alone. Just talk to him and make sure it really is what he wants to do, and if he assures you it is so, then let him go. Now if the person he marries screws him over, then you get to have a violent field day.

Respect his decision. He's a grown man, after all.

Be welcoming and loving to his new wife, or you could find yourself no longer a part of your father's life.

Sorry .. as he is an adult, this is his business and there is nothing that you can do except keep the lines of communication open with your father.

Well he is old enough to know what he is doing. There is nothing that you can do, now you have to deal with it.

All you can do is love him, and support him in his decision. He has a right to be happy, so you should let him.

What can you do? Its a done deal. You have to accept it or at least tolerate it now.
