LOL. That is so sweet. Alot of dogs get a bad rap because some of that breed do bad. Not all pitbulls, chows, rottweilers, ect/ are bad. It all goes with the raising of the animal. Even a rat terrier can turn bad.

My family brought me home cradled in their arms.
They cuddled me and smiled at me and said I was full of charm.
They played with me and laughed with me and showered me with toys.
I sure do love my family, especially the little girls and boys.
The children loved to feed me; they gave me special treats.
They even let me sleep with them - all snuggled in the sheets.
I used to go for walks, often several times a day.
They even fought to hold the leash, I'm very proud to say!
These are the things I'll not forget - a cherished memory.
I now live in the shelter - without my family.
They used to laugh and praise me when I played with that old shoe.
But I didn't know the difference between the old one and the new.
The kids and I would grab a rug, for hours we would tug.
So I thought I did the right thing when I chewed the bedroom rug.
They said I was out of control and would have to live outside.
This I didn't understand, although I tried and tried!
The walks stopped, one by one; they said they hadn't the time.
I wish that I could change things; I wish I knew my crime.
My life became so lonely in the backyard, on a chain.
I barked and barked all day long to keep from going insane.
So they brought me to the shelter but were embarrassed to say why.
They said I caused an allergy, and then they each kissed me goodbye.
If I'd only had some training as a little pup.
I wouldn't have been so hard to handle when I was all grown up.
"You only have one day left", I heard a worker say.
Does that mean I have a second chance?
Do I go home today?

Aw, that's really cute! I don't own a Pit Bull myself but I have nothing against them. I live in Australia and have never heard of a Pit Bull attack over here. It's unfortunate that this amazing breed has got such a horrendous reputation over in the U.S. I wonder what people would be saying about Pits if stupid rednecks, stupid backyard breeders and irresponsible owners never OWNED/BRED a Pit bull and instead, OWNED/BRED Labs that way.

Well my dog loving friend, I don't agree!!! Because I have a Steff Bull Terrier and he is the same. As you probably know they come from the same family. Steff Bull Terrier - Steff Terriers and Pit Bulls are one family and they are lovable. All you need to do is love them and they will love you back 1000 times more. They are smart, cute and caring, like a little person with fur!

Just wanted to say that my pit bull has all of the above characteristics. He is the biggest clown. He has taught himself how to scratch his own belly. He looks like he is "humping" the carpet, like he is doing sit-ups. it is so funny to watch. Everyone that sees him do that just crack up! He name is Max and he will be 6 in May. Best dog I have ever owned.

That was sooo cute! I love it! Those are all the things that my Pitt bull does, except for the begging. Sometimes I think her tails gonna break, cause it doesn't stop. The licking drives me crazy, but it's all her and she loves it!

Sounds like you have a real friend there.
I personally think these dogs are great, unfortunately they are small and very powerful little dogs, it is sad that people have taken advantage of these little friend's and turned them to fighters and aggressive attack dogs.
any person would be mean and nasty if they where beaten, starved and abused like some of these dogs have been.
Enjoy the little rascals they certainly make devoted friends.

this is wonderful... while i don't own a pit bull, i hold nothing against them.... there are no bad dogs, only bad owners... before i got my pomeranian, many people warned me that they are small yappy dogs who tend to nip and be not too friendly... but when i first held her in my arms, and she just looked at me with these sweet black eyes, it was love... and she is perfect... quiet, sweet, and good with everyone and everything.... u can't judge a book by its cover, or even by its prologue.... have fun with ur pup, and good luck!

So true. My pit steals my seat no matter where we are, in the car, at the park...ANYWHERE. That was cute. I wish they weren't all discriminated against!
