I think they sent out a warrant for me because I road away on a neighbors friends bicycle in their yard when I was drunk at college. Does anyone know what the crime offense is for stealing a bike? I just dumped it in a yard, i didnt resell it or anything.

If the charge was a misdemeanor then it will NOT show up in another state because the other state will not see the warant. Local warrants do not always show up nationwide because the arresting agency does not want to fly 1000 miles to pick someone up for a minor offense.

Also, if the company doing the background check sends a request to the state you were arrested in for background info, then they will get it that way. But if it only looks for stuff in your current state, they will not see it.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNH3L

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

If they do an NCIC on you then they will find warrants elsewhere. You should have never stolen someones bike (Drunk or not drunk) then you would not have to worry. Stealing is also a misdemeanor. If you have not been in trouble in the past then you should not get into much trouble. But if you have a record then they will probably throw the book at you.

The police have those little things called computers now and your name is in all of them. Ain't that wonderful??!! Your best bet is to hire an attorney who will settle this for you without your needless worrying for few months or years of your life. You made a small but serious mistake, likely only a misdemeanor. You won't go to jail or likely even have a record if you do what is correct now. You may pay restitution, do some community service and have your record purged (if a first offender) all on probation likely. Don't exacerbate the problem by trying to run or hide.

Does not matter what you did with it, crime is the same,
Some employment background checks only do same state, but if they do national it will show up

I don't know if it will show up in a background check, but I do know that if you don't turn yourself in or they don't catch you, your warrant will go away in 7 years. My boyfriend got a DUI in another state, and he never did anything about it for like 14 years and now he does't have a warrant.

It's a nationwide check, not just a state check. It's basically the same as auto theft. Since you just "dumped" it, it could be failure to stop for a vehicle accident as well. Not a good thing.

It depends on what the warrant was actually issued for, only certain warrants can be entered into NCIC, for something as petty as that, I wouldn't think so.

You should turn yourself in so you're not so paranoid. Because, if you don't, you have reason to be paranoid. I wouldn't make any long term plans because your freedom is short-lived.

if there is a warrant than it will show.

if they reported it stolen, they don't care if you did or didn't make a profit!
