When I was little, my Mom used to tell us kids that a house was the place where our home lived.

We always referred to our family as "home' ever since then.

To me, family and home are synonymous with a place and a people where I can be totally myself and be totally loved. It is also a haven from the world because we are all each other's best friends.

To the world, that sounds really corny, but I see the look in their eyes when some get to experience what we are blessed by God to have. Sort of a mix between disbelief and jealousy.

So I know my home is special.

And thanks for asking such a thought provoking question.

I live in a house...we have 4 tvs so we can all watch the same exact thing in 4 different rooms...

We never really see each other anymore, it is quite sad, but we all have conflicting schedules.

And we couldn't even have a certain day to do things we each other because I don't believe there is such a things as "fun for the whole family"...someone is always not having fun or would prefer to be somewhere else. We don't really have a lot in common nor a lot of family other than ourselves.

Well my dear I have a HOME. To some it may be a house but as you stated I too am with my family and have raised all my children in this HOME. There have been a lot of happy times and of course some sad but the memories are all to great and I think that is what makes a house a HOME.

i am in a house not a home because I am living here as a favor to my dad(he wanted to move in with his gf out of town, but didnt want to leave his house unattended) and he is in the middle of remodeling and its horrible. the walls are drywall, half-done with the joint compound, the bathrooms are NASTY, and i couldnt tell him i wouldnt move in because he had bought me a car last year and paid a yrs insurance for me. so i have no idea how long im stuck here...):
