My guy friend just recently started to call me "babe." What does this mean?
We talk a lot on the phone because he's in a different state, but he always wants me to send my pictures, and he left me a voicemail saying he missed me and how i was doing. He always takes the convo. into how pretty i am etc.
He went to a tour and took pictures and said he took them just for me. He even put me on his top five so he can call me anytime for free.
So what does all this mean?

It almost sounds like he's going just a bit too far with the "babe" thing. You are not his play thing, you are someone he is supposed to love. I also think he is a little self centered, since he insists on hogging the conversation. If this babe thing just started, I would ask him flat out what's with this babe talk, and always telling you you are pretty. I would just play it cool for a while. Things sound like you are a bit confused, so, just put things in neutral, and see where he's coming from. Please be careful. I hope you don't think I was too blunt. I just think you should be watchful.

its a pet name. my boyfriend calls me that too. Its a sign affection. You should be happy that you're boyfriend is so caring, complimenting you and all. He just misses you and this shows that while away he still thinks about you.

either he has just gotten into the whole pet names deal or he's saying i love you slowly...remember every date is a potential mate.carefull who you choose...if you don't like it tell him to stop..with authority....otherwise he will think your playin with him....and keep on going with it..so be careful, watch your step don't trip and if you do make sure you don't trip into the wrong arms

well if he says it to your face it means he wants to be cool in front of his friends, but is really being a jerk, however, if he says it to is friends as you walk by, its like the guy way of saying your cute, and probably means hes to shy to say it to your face, even if he's a big manly man
