I've never seen someone else turn on theirs while actually on the road even if it gets dark. Its almost like there's a law that says only turn on your headlights when you're at the curb or parked

I've turned them on, but usually when there's no oncoming traffic so no one thinks I'm trying to tick someone off. If it's a half hour before sunset, then I don't care--that's when you're supposed to have them on (at least in Michigan and Ohio).

A lot more cars are getting the automatic heaadlights. I love mine. I just leave the switch in auto and it takes care of everything. I never have to worry about it. It is a great option, adn I'm glad I got it.

So, you are driving on a freeway and there are thousands and thousands of cars with their headlights on. How do you think all those drivers turned the lights on? All of them stopped, turned the lights on and then resumed driving?

You shouldn't need them in the city where there are streetlights.
But in the country, out in "no where" you pretty much need the bright lights to see.
And yes, I use them when I drive in the dark when I'm in a rural area.
