The same thing happens to guys who get a girlfriend, believe me.
These people who are saying "Oh it's because they want what they can't have" keep overlooking one important factor: why does this happen even when your dating status is UNKNOWN to them?
The phenomenon actually happens because when you're single, you have a different mindset and behavior around other people in general. When you're single, you naturally act a little reclusive and treat every guy as somebody who's trying to hit on you. That tends to stop conversation. Likewise, guys who aren't single don't come off as being "on the prowl", and paradoxically find more women coming their way.

It seems as though you are settling. Maybe what you need to do is stay single for a while and figure out what you are really looking for in a man. That way when you see guys coming along your standards will have already been set. Never lower those standards for anyone.

Generally when men see that they can't have it ..they want you even more. It seem s like they don't see the beauty in someone until after they are taken. I guess that when they see you with someone ..a little light goes off and makes them wonder "hmmm I wonder what he sees in her/ what does she have to offer?". Guys and girls both do it but mostly its guys... I know that when I was single to get a date all I had to do is wear a wedding band and they come out the woodworks... I guess for guys its a non commitment thing ..you know "they have somoeone so they won't be trying to call me all the time." We all know how guys hate to commit.

Maybe because, you want to look nice for your man so you try to look nice all the time, you act sweet and stuff around him and other guys notice, so they are attracted to you yet they can't have you, or can they? j/k but, but when you are in a relationship you are happy so you glow and all that good stuff so, guys are going to want that, if we just let ourselfs be happy all the time we would attract men even when we were single.

A lot of people like what they can't have...or prefer a challenge to something that's more of a sure thing...those guys that appear out of nowhere, would likely drop you like a hot potato if you were to leave your bf to be with any of them...

It's not jealousy. A woman with company looks more attractive (more of a prize) than a woman alone. You know she's got something going for her. (BTW, it's the same with guys).

People are usually attracted to what they cannot have especially the male species It's human nature...Dont fall for that..As soon as you become unavailable you wont be that attracting to them.

Maybe because when you have a boyfriend, you seem more happy and confident, so guys are more interested.

Because nobody wants someone that can't get someone. There are a 7 billion people on the planet, and if you can't get one, something is obviously wrong with you. Quality people don't mess with singles. They are proven head cases.
