By talking to them, eye to eye and listening to what they have to say. Same goes for girls I would imagine. What would get your attention? Do you think it's that different? A smile, a touch on the arm, a pleasant hello. What can be annoying is a girl wanting to giggle all the time, playing the shy routine, or passing notes instead of making direct contact. Be adult even if your not.

when she stares at me and then smiles i feel like a bolt of electricity passes through when that happens and it annoys me when girls asks their friends to ask me a question i will feel much better if the girl asked me herself

To get my attention, girls would have to talk to me first, they always expect guys to talk to them and approach them first, but I don't, sorry.
What annoys me about girls is when they complain about things or blame you for their problems.
