if there is someone claiming to be speaking in tounges and there isnt a person that can understand them, then they are fraudulent. people think speaking in tounges is an everyday thing when it comes to worship. people ACT like they are touched with the holy spirit and start speaking gibberish and no one understands them. the take everything out of context

Yes it does. Even the Apostle Paul noted this in 1 Cor. 12:1-3.
---edit---
Some Christian psychologists who have studied the modern day tongues movement in Christian circles (see article at the first link below) have concluded that most tongue speakers are not using a real language (they are usually repeating the same sounds over & over again, and they are duplicating the sounds that their pastors make), and that it seems to be a form of self hyptnosis.
===edit2===
...Aside from Christians, certain religious groups also have been observed to practice some form of theopneustic glossolalia.
Glossolalia is evident in the renowned ancient Oracle of Delphi, whereby a priestess of the god Apollo (called a sibyl) speaks in unintelligible utterances, supposedly through the spirit of Apollo in her.
Certain Gnostic magical texts from the Roman period have written on them unintelligible syllables like "t t t t t t t t n n n n n n n n n d d d d d d d..." etc. It is believed that these may be transliterations of the sorts of sounds made during glossolalia. The Coptic Gospel of the Egyptians also features a hymn of (mostly) unintelligible syllables which is thought to be an early example of Christian glossolalia.
In the 19th century, Spiritism was developed into a religion of its own thanks to the work of Allan Kardec and the phenomenon was seen as one of the self-evident manifestations of Spirits. Spiritists argued that some cases were actually cases of Xenoglossia (when one speaks in a language unknown to him). However, the importance attributed to it, as well as its frequency, has since decreased significantly. Present-day spiritists regard the phenomenon pointless, as it does not convey any intelligible message to those present.
Glossolalia has also been observed in shamanism and the Voodoo religion of Haiti...

That's a contradiction in terms. Nothing
' Christian ' about it. The manifestation you see today is strange, and usually found where they have a false gospel. The New Testament manifestation followed specific characteristics. You should check the Bible for that because if you get spun, you'll come back and say a man spun you. If you check the word it'll leave no room for doubt unless you are intellectually dishonest. Use this:http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html
It's a concordance. You'll get the hang of it. Only use a King James Version. Okay? Good hunting.

Not a parallel but the same thing. Many religions, false religions, cults, and occult religions use it and have for centuries. It is not something spiritual, but psychic. Anyone can do it if they know how. It is taught in luinguistic classes in universities as one variation of sound. BTW is has really no resemblence to what was in the Bible since in the Bible it was a supernatural ability to speak in languages that a person had not learned. No one using tongues today does that.

speaking in tongues is by the Holy Spirit and there are various and sundry tongues~at Pentecost they spoke in languages of other people, then there is an unknown tongue that builds up your Holy Faith etc: You should research it in the Word as you pray for wisdom and understanding~Paul teaches a good deal about them in Acts and Corinthians etc:
Study to show thyself approved, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed~it is a wonderful gift from The Father to help us and to spread the knowledge of God to other peoples, we can by the Spirit in tongues tell of the wonderful works of God in their own language~does that help any? blessings

As viewed in my faith, 'tongues' can't be seen in another religion, because Christianity claims to be the only true way to the Creator.
