I mean, I have my notebook and a bunch of stuff I'm working on on this nice table with a great view.....

My sister had her laptop stolen because she used the bathroom at a starbucks. I would bring a big bag with me and if I really had to go, I would put everything in the bag and ask the barista if she could please watch it and put the bag on the floor behind the counter.

You can ask someone to watch it for you (like an employee) and make a quick run. If your in a safe neighborhood or town go for it -- but if not then I'd take at least the notebook with you.

Leave everything at the table but the notebook. Take the notebook with you - it would be a shame if it were lifted while you were, well, you know.

Ask somebody to watch your stuff, hang your coat over the back of the chair, go to the restroom, do what you gotta do, and come back and resume your activities!
