Rub an ice cube on it until the ice cube is pretty much completely melted. The ice reduces the swelling and sometimes brings it down so much it never even turns into a whitehead. I usually wrap mine in a paper towel and have an extra paper towel near by to dab the drips. You will notice the size of the bump going down quickly.

If the ice suggested in the other answer doesn't work, put a heating pad on it (set to the highest heat you can tolerate) for 10 to 15 minutes then off for 15 min and then back on, for several hours...the heat will increase blood supply, and may "bring it to a head", and thus make it easier to pop and start healing faster.
