I've gotten hate mail for this in the past, but I'm not willing to give it another go. And for you guys who want to berate me, save your time, I'm conducting an experiment.
Here's the challenge, I will give you 30 days. As of April15th 2007 the challenge will be over. You will say a prayer for me each day in hopes that I will turn to your god. If there is such a power in prayer, then your god will make things happen that will make me convert. If not, then I will still be an atheist. For those of you who accept the challenge, please email me and don't forget to mark your callender. I'd like to get as many people as possible in on this one.

Honey, I'd be happy to pray for you. I'll take your challenge if you will take mine.
For 30 days, pray for God to reveal Himself to you. You are a person of free will. God will not make you accept Him.
So, to give it a fair shake, make yourself open. Then you'll have a true experiment.

Hi! I came across your "challenge" today. And this is what I believe is true- Considering ur an aethiest- I believe that God created everything- including you and me (u probably disagree) He didn't make us into puppets with strings. He gave us "FREE WILL". Which u probably know ? So... u can get all these people to pray for you- (pretty clever challenge) but it's only up to you to change. Yes there is power in prayer but if you're set against it how in the heck is it gonna work. That's pointless. What if I challenged everyone to pray for me that I would become rich. That's insane. SO with that being said I hope you do find Jesus- not some religion(sitting on a dead church pew) but JESUS. I'm sure He thinks this is pretty funny. P.S. When I was little I had a computer and some days I would type the words "God are you real?" and I would walk away and return later to see if He wrote anything.(How crazy) It's seems like you're doing the same. Are u unsatisfied with being an aethist? what spawned this? Do you kinda believe? Sorry so long.

But that's not how prayer works. Prayer connects you to the noosphere in order to allow mental resonance between entities on a similar mental wavelength. This requires a similarity of thought in the first place.
Scientifically your test is supremely biased. What you need to do is choose something you are absolutely and firmly on the fence about and put that up for the opportunity of change by prayer. You would also need to specify a direction of change otherwise people will be pulling on you in every way.
As it stands, I would not attempt to influence you since your mind is already made up and there is no point. The most effective point for noospheric intervention is where the least energy causes the most change - your test is loaded in such a way that no amount of energy will be sufficient to make any change.

Tell ya what, I'll take your challenge....but only if we can pray TOGETHER for each of those thirty days. I mean, you will also pray, and pray sincerely from your heart for God to reveal Himself to you. If you are honestly seeking God, I'll have a brand new brother when it's over.
If you're just trying to "prove a point", we'll both be wasting our time, but, heck...I figure it's worth it.
So, what do you say? If you are serious, and truly want to get to know God, then you email me, and we'll set up an appointment to pray together every day for the next month. I'm willing, if you are!

We can pray for you, but remember that God still gives you Free Will. He cannot force you to accept Him. We can pray for you, but if you are not open or ready to change, then nothing will happen for you. I was an atheist for 20 years; someone said he would pray for me about 10 years ago. It took about 5 years before I finally became a Christian. But the prayers worked!

Silly wabbit, tricks are for kids!
The Lord God, is not a puppet, nor a Giant wish machine to which we pay homage.
God is real, and God really wants a real reconciliation with you.
If you were sincere, your conversion wouldn't take 30 days, if you are not sincere, no amount of time in the world will be sufficient to alter your will.
None the less, I will pray for you and yours.
So no to the "challenge" which isn't one at all, but yes to prayer on your behalf.

You misunderstand the purpose of prayer. If you go into something like that, with that attitude, no miracle will come to pass. We have been given our free agency so that we might choose what we will be, and what we will make out of our lives. So you see, by telling everyone to pray for you to become christian, and you're not willing to accept the christian religion, then prayer will do no good. God won't make us do anything.

You have to want it yourself. You have to be the one to go to God in prayer. People can pray for you in the hopes that you will find God, but if it is not in your heart, if you do not ask for it and do not pray for it, then God will not answer. God knows what is in your heart. Maybe here's the challenge.....You do nothing but pray and really talk to God. Study the bible as if it were a treasure. Then in 30 days if you feel nothing then be own your Atheist way. But be truthful.....open up your heart to God

purely this week? I undertaking you to make it a lifetime habit to set aside time for examining God's be conscious, and praying for people who love you --and additionally people who hate you. Why no longer start up praying for Captain? You on no account comprehend what God will do in answer on your dedicated prayers. yet it somewhat is the huge undertaking, to be dedicated day in outing, no longer purely do some thing in a burst of emotion. I commend you on your choose to grow to be a extra appropriate Christian. My life verse is John 15:5 "i'm the vine; you are the branches. If a guy continues to be in me and that i in him, he will undergo plenty fruit; different than for me you're able to do no longer something."... and that i've got discovered that the closer I walk with God the extra he adjustments me and it then impacts those I are available touch with.

I think you have to honestly seek God to find Him. People seek signs, but that's not the same thing as seeking the signmaker. What would happen to you to make you convert? It usually takes longer than a month to be in enough pain to be willing to turn your will and your life over to God, no strings attached. But if you'll be specific about what you think would make you want to seek the One True God, I'll pray for you as I'm able.
