well, if you don't count the time it takes for the washer/dryer to run or the dishwasher, then maybe an hour a day, if that. I am a stay at home mom and have 2 kids. I just do a little each day and don't sweat the small stuff(dusting, vacuuming the stairs, scrubbing the floor) Mostly everyday I do a quick pick up, load the dishwasher, wipe of counters and load the washer/dryer. If I have company coming, then I do a 2 hour full clean up. Because I keep the stuff picked up everyday, when it is time to clean for company, there isn't much else to do. I would rather spend more time with my son and daughter and husband.

I live with my soon to be husband and our 16 month old daughter. I probably spend less than an hour a day doing housework. I hoover and do the dishes every day along with whatever else needs doing such as washing, the whole house gets a damn good clean once a month top to bottom when I get a weekend all to myself. We live in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom 3storey house and it's bloody hard work!

I live with my husband and 5yr old daughter, I do about an hours housework a day. We have a small 2 bedroom house but its unbelievable how untidy it gets! I used to stress about keeping a clean house but now I just do what I can manage. I probably do about an hour a day sometimes i dont have chance to do that and end up spending my Saturday doing the whole house. A women's work is never done!!

I would say an hour a day, but 2 if you include cooking and shopping.
I have a messy husband, a 5 year old who leaves her toys all over the house and a baby who is at present the tidiest!
My duties are mainly tidying up the clutter and putting things back in their rightful place, vacuuming, dusting, keeping kitchen and bathroom hygenic and laundry. I am not a perfectionist but like a neat home.
ps i dont iron anything

I go out at about 9am for different groups etc with my son and leave the house like a bomb site! Get in and he goes for a nap. I then spend about 30-45 mins tidying up and cleaning but I maintain throughout the day.
Do things like the bathroom every couple of days so it hardly takes any time.
So probably just over an hour a day.

I suppose everyone is different , i am married to a lazy git and have 4 kids ( 2 teenagers) and have a 3 bedroomed terraced house. I spend roughly 2-3 hours a day housework (including ironing everyday) i refuse to tidy the kids rooms they do their rooms theirselves . Sometimes i never stop and fall into my bed at 9ish and other days i take a chilled approach to housework but my house is always spick and span before i go to bed as i want to get up in the morning to it nice and clean and tidy , i hate getting up knowing i have a list of things to do . I haven`t stopped today , but today i was grocery shopping , washing and ironing .

I do housework about 30 mins per day most days, then one day a week I'll work for about 2 hours with scrubbing and stuff. I don't do everything every day. I have a husband and 3 kids.
