How can I make my brother stop getting OVER addicted to computer?

My 16 year old big brother never leaves the computer. He keeps deleting stuff and says he's cleaning the computer! He's DUMB! He never lets me go on the computer/ browse on the net. He does work on it sometimes, but that doesn't actually matter to me; he feels sort of uneasy when I am on the computer. My Mum tells him off to give me....! He thinks I look at nasty things, but I don't! I'm good! You know what.....when he's not on the PC he is just so good and kind, and so generous. It spoils him and his eyesight. He sits on it for more than 2 hours. He's got glasses since he was 8. He still has. His sight didn't get better.....it got worse! Please tell me how to make him not interested in computer! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!

I doubt the computer caused his eye problems and most ppl that wear glasses usually suffer more eyesight problems for the worst then do they get better. Alot of ppl are "addicted" to the computer and the only way to stop the addiction is to find other things to fill your time. Your 16 so odds are you have looked at "nasty" things its a normal part of life. If he doesnt have alot of friends that live near by or things to do why shouldnt he sit on the computer. Im lucky enough that my nephews that I raised have plenty to keep them busy my 17yr old only uses the computer to get cheat codes on the very off time he's playing ps3 or xbox360. My 15 yr old nephew also takes cheat codes off of the computer talks to me on Ymessenger for maybe 20 minutes a week but beyond that they are outside or with friends.

There are adults addicted to the internet too. And I was one of them until I found something else to do it. I did it mostly because I was bored and had nothing else to do. However when I was out w my husband it never once crossed my mind to be on the computer. Now I get on when Im bored and the baby is sleeping and my husband isnt home. When he's home I am not online I set the limits myself because honestly I was getting BORED with being online

if your parents are truely worried, they need to get rid of the computer
