Let your sis know what's going on and let her handle the woman because she's known her longer...with you present, so the air can be cleared up front.

Maybe the lady is worried about her job and feels insecure because you are family. Sometimes when people are scared they become defensive. And if she has been there a long time and a new person walks in the door and becomes her boss, Well...come on.
Try to be kind to her and maybe once she knows you are not there to push her around or be mean she will lighten up and start to feel more secure around you. Won't that make you feel good?

I think she's disrespectful and jealous of you. Maybe she thinks she's better than you and deserves your position but you got it just because you're the top boss' sister (nepotism). You should bring this to your sister's attention. If your sis is supportive of you, not as a sister but as a good manager, she should let you handle this the way you see fit without intervention. Otherwise, that girl will never respect you and you can't manage her.

I would let your sis know what the problem is -- that you enjoy working for her but the other employee is making you feel uncomfortable and tell her why -- then ask if she can talk to her for you -- and ask if there is anything you can do to make the other girl feel more comfortable with you. it isn't fair to be treated badly do to jealousy or whatever.

Fire her on the spot. Cause all she'll do is cut your throat later. * not literally cut you *

You might go to her and say, "You are aware that I am your supervisor, right? Well just making sure and now that I know that you know then I'm telling you to adjust your attitude or you're out of here."

Good luck you are not in a good position to be. Have anyone in mind to take her place?

i would carry on as if it wasn't going on. she probably wants to get a rise out of you and make you want to act crazy then you will make yourself look bad. Act as if you don't see her stank $%^ behavior and I think that will burn her ******. Some girls are just miserable and you know......misery loves company. Dont give in. good luck with that

confront her in a decent way in front of your sister maybe you can suggest a meeting between the three of you to hopefully resolve whatever issues she may have.

If someone working under you doesn't respect you and makes your job hell, it's time for her to go.
