what gives you energy to lift? I used to take No Xplode that i got from a GNC supplement store but the stuff is so much money so i just want like what types of food i can eat before lifting to give me lots of energy to go on and what kidna of stuff do you do to get you motivated to lift?

As for another energy supplement, I love Redline RTD by VPX. You can buy 24 cans for less than $40.00 and it will last you at least a month if you use them on days you workout.

a good bowl of oats about 40 minutes before a workout ..the complex carbs are used to make a fuel called ATP which your body uses for muscle contraction, so i think it's best to have an adequate supply of that. too little carbs can lead to a miserable unproductive workout...i used to use lemonade n.o-explode good taste, but a bit too expensive for me
