I have a friend you used to cut herself. She was abused by a guy and felt that the only way to escape the pain was by creating a new pain. This is sadly a common thing, but it's not good for the person. I won't erase the pain. You don't need a man to make you happy. If he left you, he must not be very worth it. And if you feel like cutting, take a red pen instead of a sharp object and mark yourself. That way, it will look and feel like your cutting yourself, but your really not. Please don't hurt yourself anymore. It isn't your fault.

Hi, Self harming is not very uncommon nowadays, due to stressful life, it is sometimes compelling vulnerable people to self harm, where u find some relief, but this is not the permanent solution to your problem.

Think cleverly, by hurting yourself , u dont gain anything.
U only lose.

There is always a solution to everything in this world. Discuss your problems with one single person whom u think is secret keeper or trust worthy. By sharing ur thougths, u can avoid silly thoughts about self harming..

distract your self by watching a movie or comedy shows, dont stay lonely, call yoyr friend home or go to your friends house..do something like this and bring your spirit back..

I know what you are going through I have hurt myself in the past because of a man. But I found the best way to ease the pain is to take a bath or even go for a walk. I found that it helped me a lot. I have also found confining myself in a room where there isn't any objects I can hurt my self with and listen to music or even read a book just to take your mind off of it. I hope I helped. If you need any more help e-mail me xox-coley-xox@hotmail.com my yahoo address is just for this only.

Life is learning how to get over hurt and proving you can survive it alone! Self harming...hmmm...isn't that a cry for attention? If you know it is not right to do it then you know you have to seek help. Talk to your GP if you trust them enough. Talk to the Practice Nurse if you can.......self harm is just punishing yourself more. Go get help...no one on here has the skill to answer you in a good way. You need a professional.........good luck and hope you find how to be strong for your own sake, soon!

If you really feel an urge to try self harming then try counciling, it will help to get rid of stress and they should also help you to overlook the self harming situation.
If you feel you can handle it yourself, then do so. Sit down, watch some films with some coffee or something, relax your mind and try tnot to think about painful memories.

Just don't do it. I used to do it and I just stopped and even when it feels like my life is in total despair I just have been able to talk myself out of it. The scars it leaves behind are all I have to look at to stop myself.

a broken heart is what it is honey... we have all had one at some point in our lives, and some of use live with a broken heart. i know you want help with this or you would not be asking this question... go to the hospital or a doctor explain it to them...let them help you... no one on here can... you need someone there to show you that they care... i care but I'm not there with you, so i can't help... please try not to hurt yourself, it won't take away the broken heart.

Vote New [sic] Labour. The result is painful but fortunately leaves no bodily scars [unless you're a soldier].
