My mom won't let me have a myspace and i want one bad! All my friends have 1 and I told her i would put it on private but she won't let me have one since everything that has been happening....but I'm not a baby and I know not to talk 2 any strangers! What should I say to persuade her 2 get a myspace?

Well, I think you have 2 options :
You can not only, also give her your password maybe.
OR
Get a Myspace anyway. There are Proxies online, that have cover your tracks.

You may not be "a baby", but you are Her Baby (and you always will be). She's only trying to protect you as best she can, in the only way she knows how. If you were on My Space, you would certainly end up talking to strangers. There are a LOT of weirdos out there just looking for young people to take advantage of. They know how to make themselves seem like another teen, and they know how to get personal info out of you without you even realizing you are giving it. They are crafty and cunning, and more worldly than you are. It might make her feel better if she could monitor it more closely. Ask her what it would take to make her feel more comfortable with it. Maybe, together, you could work out a compromise.

you could try having your mom get online with you and setting up a her myspace too so she can be added as a friend. this would enable her to visit your site on a regular basis, read your comments, see who your friends are..its just a thought.

because there are alot of perverts on the internet. u see when u start talking to them and being friends with them u dont consider them as a stranger. soon they ask u picture of ur self what school u go to and other stuff. and plus u might be under aged any way u have to be atleast 14 to have one i think

She probably saw the TV show how the FBI uses myspace to lure & capure pedifiles.
She just wants u to be safe.
Why not just use yahoo.com to make your own website etc.

Well just wait a month or to or show her hwo responsible you are....... tell her all youo will put on there is Your name .. but not your Phonenumber or address..But I have a myspace and alls they show is your name and you can make it so you could have your name say BIGPIMP! or whatever!

its so mature for you to ask this question, i think you should show her this, you could have went behind her back and made a myspace account, so i think you would be responsible with myspace. show her this question.

well my mom was the same way and all i did was keep on dis obeying her and she finally let em have 1 after alot of trouble but its so worth itâ¥
