well depending on how light or dark your natural haircolor is im gonna say that even a temporary haircolor will stain your hair. Even if it says "fades out" dont bet on it to fade all the way. Black dye has a lot of color molecules and no matter what it will stain your hair. When all is said and done your gonna have an expensive trip to the salon for some corrective work... so my advice is to stay away or go to a salon in the first place and come up with another way to go gothic

There are many great temporary hair color product's on the market.. You don't say however what color your natural hair is.. this CAN make a difference when choosing the black you want..
If you are a natural blonde.. be ready.. any temporary color is going to deposit color into the hair shaft it self... what this means is the base color WILL stay in your hair.. EVEN after the 6 to 8 washings it normally takes to come out... If this is something you are going to do long term... you may not get the base color out of your hair with out using a color remover.
If your really seious about a temp color.. go to Sally's beauty supply.. talk to one of the clerks.. they are a great source of info.

They have mousse that colors your hair, and I'm pretty sure it washes out when you wash it next. So maybe you could do that. Or just any level 2 (semi-permanant) hair color works also. Sometimes they don't wash out really either. Maybe get a more expensive one (say 10 bucks or so) and that might stay in better. Feria works well.

Listen to your parents, I know that's not what you want to hear, but I too went black, and it is sooo hard to change if you ever want to!!!! Try a different color, like a burgundy or dark brown with red highlights. I did, and I love it!! Plus it's much more unique than just plain black hair. Good luck!!!

in case your colour is fading out that quickly, you're likely utilizing a semi everlasting colour or demi everlasting colour. you are able to attempt what's termed everlasting colour, which wont fade yet will strengthen out along with your hair, so each 4-8 weeks youd in simple terms could get a retouch. I reccommend going to a salon and having it executed specialist somewhat than procuring shop offered colour. also, i'd turn faraway from thoroughly black, as quickly because it everlasting black its very hard to get the different colour, such as brown. wish this facilitates!
