would i not be throwing away my time and effort i have spent bringing up his child.. ok so guess what i lied to my bf and told him i was going shopping for his birthday(in june) just so i can shopp with my mum tomoz lol i know this is ridiculous but harder to do than say... he always ask me if he can go out .. im like why are u asking me ... im no super model just normal looking person... but im going to say to him tonight i want to stay at my mums for a day or 2 ..time apart is as precious as time together do u agree?

If your boyfriend doesn't display Affection, Appreciation, Acceptance and Attention chances are the relationship won't workout in the long run. Wouldn't it be better to cut your loses. You're still young and have a lot of life ahead of you.
The fact you need to lie to him just to go shopping with your mother suggests he's a controlling type person and if that's the case then it will just get worse the longer you stay together.
You need to decide what you want in life and discuss it with him. If he is unwilling to support and encourage your desires you should seriously consider moving on without him.
Eventually you will meet someone who cares about what makes you happy.

I do agree, and I do not see why you had to lie to him.
He should understand that you want to go out shopping with your mum and he is not a good partner if he disagrees.
And you spending time away from him and with your mum is part of a family, I'm sure you would be happy if he wanted to spend time with any of his family for a day or two.
Do what you want, its your choice.

i would just tell him that my mom and i want to spend some time together alone so i am going to stay with her for a day or 2. "it will give us time to shop for your birthday and do girl stuff. tell him what day to expect you back. when you get back tell him what a good time you had and thank him for taking care of the house while you are gone.

Honey, if you've got to lie to this bloke just to spend time with yer ma, you shouldn't be there. Fine go to your mum's but take all your stuff with you, you have to realise being in a relationship as you are is going to destroy your self esteem, destroy your life, it's not far off abuse. I'm a bloke, if I wanted what you do for your bloke I'd hire a housekeeper and nanny. x

I answered your other post too. Bottom line: All people need couple time and time with friends and time alone! I cannot imagine being told I can't spend time w/my mom!
But lying to him is not gonna solve anything. And I have a feeling if he finds out, he is going to be very angry. You need to talk to him.
