don't they realize that if they remain natural and maybe straighten occasionally that it would grow longer and faster? Instead of wearing the weaves you could have a head full of long hair, if you let the relaxers and the constant heat go.

If you have natural hair you can straighten it, or wear braids you don't have to wear a full on afro like me. I'm just trying to tell sistas that they do have other options, you don't HAVE to relax it.

i totally agree, I have worn braids for the past 12 years and my natural hair, which I will straighten with a flat iron at times. I am a mixture of black, asian, and indian and my hair is very thick and coarse but strong. I use optimum care shampoo and conditioner and french braid it when it's not in individual strands, most people think I look wayyyy younger than my years when I do so.

Some black women prefer to look like Tyra Banks with her constant weaves to make her look white. But thats just how they want it. I think its beautiful just natural. Short stylish cuts work beautifully rather than weaves.

I 100% agree....Most black women dont want to hear it...They'll give u the same EXCUSE "It's easier to manage when it's relaxed"....What that really means is "I'm too lazy or scared to go natural b/c I dont know how to properly take care of my hair"
Ladies if u go natural we promise that you wont be walking around like Buckwheat!
Most black women dont know who to deal wit their natural hair b/c they've probably been getting their hair relaxed at a very young age....Then when they grow up and have girls they will teach their girls what..........HOW TO PROPERLY USE A RELAXER....and NOT how to properly take care of thier hair...
Gosh, we dont see white ppl bleaching their children's hair or asians putting curly perms in lil Chen's hair......Black women need to get it together..(this is how I know that it's NOT just a "CHOICE" to be relaxed vs natural)

yes agree i am east indian and personally feel that black women can have long hair but all the products and perming has got to stop!! i have 1 black friend i mention her on here alot of times but she has hair down pass her butt and she been natural for 2 years are so only once a year she permed her hair thats it. as a east indian girl who have black friends i see what types of products they use!! and it is awful alot of them refuse to be natural. (please dont get offended) look at east indian women,indian american women,arab women ,asian women and white women they all have long hair because they dont perm it on regular basis and they use natural hair products like oils. i have given my black friend indian hair care tips and her hair very long when she gives other black girls the same hair tips they dont wanna listen!! natrural is the best!!!! so if black women and any other women froma diffrent race wanna fry their hair and do all loads of crap then they will be balding before the age of 30
