Some on here think everyone is a child of God, but the Bible teaches differently, only the "elect" are God's children, yes He has made all of us- but He only lives in those who are saved, and he calls them "His children" --not saying this to stir up trouble, just to defend the word of God. I hope and pray MANY come to be a child of God! Also we are called "his sheep" in John.
Romans 9:8
In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring.
-The natural children are those who are not ever going to be saved, but only the chosen are God's children---the children of promise. Romans is a great book to read concerning all of this.

John 1:12
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
-We spread the word of God because He calls us to, and God is the one who draws people to Him, but we are his "workmanship" created to serve Him and honor him by sharing his wonderful truth and PRAYING that many receive it! But John 6:44 is clear on only God being the one who saves and convicts the hearts of men--who draws people to him, we dont know who God is going to draw, therefore we MUST share the gospel with all, as Romans 10:17 says "Faith comes from hearing and by hearing the word of God"

I agree with your scriptures. When we are born of God, born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with Jesus, part of the family of God.
But Jesus also said and example of the Kingdom of heaven are the children who wanted to sit in His lap, etc... Those who love Jesus & don't purposely rebel agains God and Gods Word.
When people rebel against God and Gods Word, they die/ blind spiritually. Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God, you must be born again... John 3.

Not to start any problems, but the bible itself has been written by many people for a long time now. The truth is all Father's creations is his children. Our Father that is in Heaven given us everything that even some of His angels was jealous of and started some problems in Heaven we all know who that angel was. So no matter what the cause is, it is up to those to follow the One who created us, but we will always be God's children in the eye of the Beholder

im pretty sure i know what you mean and im pretty sure i believe it. are you saying that the only people that go to heaven are the people that believe on and trust in God that they are they only people going to heaven? if you are, i believe you. except i believe that children that are too young to understand the greatness of God's word and they die before they get a chance, i believe that they will go to heaven.

Then children who are still born, die of cancer, die of premature birth, born in war torn disease stricken countries WITHOUT ever hearingthe word Jesus.... any of those are all doomed to hell from a God that created them and then DENIES them... that sure is all loving, all mighty and all just God... NOT

We are Gods children, and he keeps an eye on us all the times just like your parents watch over you. I know He is my Father in heaven and I know that he watches over me just like my parents did. He scolds me when I need it, and I know that he loves me as his daughter...I'm proud of my KING ...I guess that kind of makes a princess.
