I am kinda on the fence. I have heard that people need something to believe in so they believe in him. I disagree. There is substantial scientific evidence that Adam and Eve werent the first people on the Earth. And the bible says that he just plopped them on the Earth when it was clearly evolution that made the first humans. If one part of the bible is wrong, then what stops me from believing that everything else in it is faulty? I also believe that religion was just made up because of profit and jobs were created. Also, if god is so almighty then why does he allow terrorists and other bad things like that to happen?.... i am just confused

Yes, I believe.

How do you think everyone and every thing came to being? There is a creation and of course there is a creator, God. Look at yourself look how the seasons change and look how the plants grow, so much organization I know no person could do that, God was the organizer. How about his unconditional love he gives, he's like a parent giving us chances and chances. I can't blame you for asking this question because some people don't know. No, the Bible and other scriptures aren't made up, the Bible might be changed a bit and so are many other scriptures but they are NOT made up.

Bad things happen because if wrong. The terrorists and wars and such come from us killing animals, I'M SERIOUS! Why is it okay to kill animals and not okay to kill people? Animals have souls, and life and can feel too. What I'm saying is small things turn ito big things, first animals, then people, then THE WORLD!

People are biologically disposed to believe in something. It's necessary to have some background set of assumptions upon which we rely in order to function.

Some people believe in God, some don't, but all people believe in something.

My belief is that there is some spiritual component to human life, but that we do not, at least at present, have the means to understand it. I think that religion is an attempt to understand the spritual component, but because we can't really grasp the nature of the infinite we end up with Terry Pratchett describes in "Small Gods:" "Around the Godde there forms a Shelle of prayers and Ceremonies and Buildings and Priestes and Authority, until at Last the Godde Dies. Ande this maye notte be noticed."

Which means, I think, that we begin with a spiritual perception and in an effort to codify, define and describe that perception, drive all the spirit out and leave an empty "shelle" behind.

Most religions are entirely too small to hold God.

Yes, I believe in "God".

The real god is not found in the bible. The bible is like what a three year old child would produce when trying to copy a Rembrandt using only two crayons.

It doesn't begin to -- it doesn't approach within lightyears -- defining the true "God".

Let me try to clear your confusion.

[1] First of all the whole Bible vs. Evolution thing is nonsense. Most people think just because both Evolution and the Bible are studying the same subject; the beginning of existence, that they are asking the same questions. Yet, they are not. There is no conflict between them. Understand this about each side. In Evolution, science is interested in "how" existence came about and "how" we have the numerous species we have today. To ask the "why" of existence is to go outside the scope of its inquiry and interest.
Now, the author of Genesis is interested in the "why" of existence and "why" we are in the condition we are now. To ask the "how" of existence is to go outside the scope of its inquiry and interest.

[2] In order to understand what is being stated by Genesis you have to know what genere is being used. The Bible contains myths, history, science, politics, philosophy, songs, poetry, speeches, etc. etc. The Bible is not like a science text book. The Science text book stays within the confines of scientific terms and can only speak about a part of life and not the whole of it. The Bible, since it is speaking of reality itself is not confined to one type of language or genere to speak about it and so contains a host of different means to do it.
What you did in your statement is made the Genesis myth a scientific story (and it is not nor is it intrested in science). Now just because it is a myth does not mean it is not true. To say so is the modern problem we have today. We have forgotten the purpose and use of myths. A myth is a literary device used to describe, express, or point to a truth or reality. It's like the old Aesop's fable of the Fox and the grapes. The Fox tries to get the grapes and leaves dejected and says, "They're probably sour anyway." Now the story is trying to express how man can be so disatisfied and cynical when he cannot get what he wants. And human experience has borne this out. You know from your own experience this is true and you have gleaned the truth from the story. Therefore, I do not have to prove that a Fox can speak Greek or English in this version to prove its validity. It is the same with Genesis and the Creation story. Its a myth that points to the truth that there is a God and that there is good and evil in the world. And Genesis is explaining why all that came about within a myth.

[3] Religion is partially man made because God does not exclude us from His plans. He wishes us to participate with Him in His plan. Yet, from the begining man has encountered a mysterious God and man has been doing his best through religion to express what this mysterious God is. God has reveled Himself to man and religion is a way to express and preserve what was revealed. That is the fundamental purpose and function of religions. Yet, since God revealed Himself to the world, each country or continent expresses it through their own culture to understand the mystery. And so, some cultures cleary know the mystery of revelation and others understand it more obscurely.
What you have stated is a byproduct of man's inclination to sin. While on earth there is no one or thing that can avoid it. And even religions are infected by sin because sinful men are within it, but that does not mean we abandon them. It means we should listen and follow God more closely to purify them and change. And that is why in the Catholic Church we say, "Mother Church on earth is to undergo perpetual conversion." Finally, religion may have its faults, but the fault is not God's, but ours. God is involved in religion and so to abandon religion is to abandon God.

[4] As far as the terrorist question. God does not force His will and goodness upon anyone. God invites you to freely relate to Him. And so, out of all humility He waits for our answer to follow Him and do as He commands for His commandments give life. Yet, we are free to go against God and His will. And God will allow you to decide on your own what or who you wish to follow. It's not that God is responsible for terrorism nor does it prove He is powerless. It proves how much He respects our decision. Now I am not speaking of just personal decisions, but our decisions as a society.

I am sorry that this is taking so long to answer and I do not have the time to go into the other details your questions demand. I am a parish priest and I do have my obligations to fulfill for my people. But I hope that what is written has been helpful to you.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.

God's and your beast of burden

The Bible is not wrong, just misunderstood. We always fear and want to discard what we don't understand. Scientific things can be proven because they are tangible; spiritual things are not. It's a faith thing; you have to believe in order for it to work.

well, God does exzist. About the terrorists, God has his reasons, and this may be his reason, to get America back to him... Americans are falling away from God, and do you know how many people started praying, and stuff because of the terrorists?

I don't believe. The main reason is because there is no proof of him existing.

I know plenty of people that do believe in god, just not the bible.

It is called a Duality System or Yin/Yang. In other words, there has to be Evil or badness in order to appreciate the Good.
