i think the people that want to put their things in the magazine pay the magazine so i dont thing that much

It depends on your equiptment. It can cost you as little as 100 dollars or as much as 500, but the problem is getting the school to approve distribution. They will want advanced copies and censorship rights if you distibute it on campus. If it is a school project, they will want you to have a moderator as well. But, if the school is behind it then you can use the school's equiptment and paper to reduce costs. If it is not a school project then you can always sell ads and reduce your costs that a way. Pictures are the biggest cost, but if you are doing this on a computer digital makes this easy now a days. The rest of the money goes for paper ink and binding

Probably not half as much as we pay for it because they are produced in bulk and they do have to make $$ you know.
