Here's the situation. I am currently on match.com. I went on two dates last weekend. One on fri. one on sat. both went well. However, both guys want to hang out this sat. for saint patty's day. I have kind of committed to going out with both of them (stupid I know, but things just happened that way) Here's the question: How do I get out of going with one of them to the parade? What's a good lie to tell? or should I just break it off with the one I don't want to go with? Normally I wouldn't lie to someone I was dating, however I am not committed to either of them and have only known them for 1 1/2 weeks.
Thanks soo much for the help!!!!!

Well...as long as you don't do it a second time you'll be fine. The best thing to do would be to still go with both, but commit a smaller kindof lie to prevent yourself from a larger one and thereby possibly getting yourself into trouble. Don't lie about being able to go, because you might get caught (it's happened). Instead, just plan events with them at separate times of the day. Maybe with one of them arrange to do something in the afternoon, and then the other you can do things at night. If one says that they can't make it in the afternoon or whenever, then you can say honestly that you have plans. If you happen to get caught with the other guy at your next meet up, then you only have to introduce them as your friend. Very simple, no need for dishonesty, just a little maneuvering.

tell him something came up and ask to reschedule to another day where you will be able to spend more time with him. and if he asks what came up, just say it is personal and you don't feel comfortable enough to discuss it with him yet.
