I would simply wait for him to be caught and not expend any more resources on finding him. Bin Laden has been neutralized both politically and militarily. The fact that we are obviously not spending a whole lot of time looking for him is pretty much an insult - and it makes him look bad by sending the message that he is no longer that important.

Remember that in Arab eyes a dead Bin Laden is a martyr while a Bin Laden hiding in a cave is a coward.

The best revenge is to let him die an anonymous coward after watching us create a world exactly opposite the one he wanted.

You use the word inept rather freely and irresponsibly. If I were in charge (which I am not) I would first take out bin Ladin's communications center in Qatar. I would then give the tribes in the region of Pakistan that the Pakistani government has not absorbed A Roosevelt-like option: Deliver bin Ladin in 48 hours or we will come to get him, utilizing sufficient firepower to minimize our own casualties. Of course, impeachment proceedings would begin the next day.

First thing I would do is take our resources out of Iraq and concentrate them in Afghanistan. I would offer Pakistan a bonus if they allow us to enter into their country and eliminate all enemy strongholds.
