here are the pros's and con's of frozen and unfrozen veggies

1. fresh vegetables are more nutritious.
2. frozen veggies are less nutritious.
3. fresh veggies taste better.
4. the difference is the nutritional value and one is frozen.
5.same amount of calories.
6. also frozen veggies are already prepared, fresh need to be washed and cut depending on the vegetable.

Frozen vegetables are usually flash frozen and retain much of their nutritional value. Fresh is always best, because you know exactly how it's being cooked and can ensure that it's done to your specifications.

Either would only have more calories if you added something to them, like sugar.

fresh food is always better for you. it's less processed and closer to the food we are designed to naturally eat. but veggies are veggies so eat whatever you can. dark green veggies are great for you - sweet veggies have more sugar and simple carbs and are therefor less purely nutritious. a variety is the best thing. covers all your bases and you are less likey to get bored and start adding sauces and lots of butter to make them taste different.

Fresh = best.
Frozen = good, but not as good as fresh.
