we have been talking for almost a month. i like him. he wants to meet. i do to but i am scared. i dont think he is a bad guy but i ask my self am i ready? iam a single mom, and it has been just me and my son for 7 years,(yes i still have sex) but no seriouse relationships. help

Arrange a meeting in a coffee shop(starbucks). A casual meeting won't hurt. You've got to give yourself a chance to find out what he is like in person and see if there is any chemistry here. You won't find that out on line. Good Luck - you're ready for this.

Think about it this way - it doesn't have to be anything more than you want it to be. Agreeing to meet him for dinner is just that - dinner. You aren't compelled to sleep with him or fall in love with him or start a relationship right away. So take a chance, and take it for what it is.

But take precautions, too. Meet him in a public place, and for the first few dates don't go anywhere alone with him. Don't give him your home or work address, or let him escort you home. Be honest with him and let him know that you want to take it slow. If he tries to pressure or manipulate you into anything, listen to your gut and run. A good guy will be very understanding and respectful of your cautions.
