I am appaled and outraged at everyone who thinks this is a problem!

NO, drinking 6-10 beers a night is NOT a problem.

Yes, you may be a drunk, or even an alcoholic, but this question is WAY to vague to say "yes" too. It is only a problem if it affects your daily life (school, work, relationships), or if you yourself personally view it as problem. Until then, we as other human beings cannot judge you for those actions.

I expect that the majority of people answering this question are probably underage and more than likely from USA. Anyone from Ireland, or several other countries acorss the Atlantic would have given you a completely different tune.

I also am a little biased here because I too drink 6-10 beers a night (at least). But then again I know for a fact that I DON'T have a problem. I am in college (doing good), have a steady bartending job (I make more money than the majority of the people who answered this question), and I get laid frequently and have MANY friends (and both of these qualities in my life have to do with the large amount of alcohol that I drink). I am sorry, but I really don't give a crap about my liver or my "beer gut", daily exercise will keep me healthy enough.

So no, I don't have a problem, and netiher do you.

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day."

More than likely it is a problem. Like everyone else said your liver is going to give out on you for drinking this much every night. A few drinks a couple nights a week is fine but 6-10 drinks every night is way too much. Doctors even say that ONE glass of red wine is healthy.

Think about it, your asking this question. In your mind you are thinking that maybe you have a problem. Do you find yourself counting down till the time you can start to drink? Do you start right away? If you can answer yes get your butt into a clinic for some help.

If your looking for justification look elsewhere! But if you really want to kill yourself, just drink straight antifreeze. It will do the same thing, only quicker. Stop and think about it!!!!!!

It's a problem if you cannot go a night without drinking 6-10 beers.

Alcohol is a depressant. This means that it depresses, or slows down your nervous system. It triggers a wide range of physical, emotional, and behavioral changes in users, determined by doses and reflected in the blood alcohol levels of the drinker. Alcohol is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, and goes to every organ, including the brain.

In the brain, alcohol affects our ability to process information:

It takes you longer to react to situations.
You have trouble exercising judgement.
You are not as well coordinated.
All body systems are affected by alcohol. Side effects include dilation of blood vessels (which causes flushed skin) and increased gastric secretion. At high doses, side effects include mood swings, unrestrained behavior, and inability to control motor functions.
Alcohol goes directly from the stomach into the bloodstream. It is quickly carried to the brain, liver, and throughout the body. The liver helps the body get rid of the alcohol, but if a person drinks more than the liver can handle, alcohol builds up in the body. The more alcohol there is in thebody, the more impaired a person becomes.

Other effects include blackouts, sleep problems (including impaired REM sleep) and hangovers. Side effects increase in severity with chronic abuse. Heavy drinkers suffer a variety of alcohol related problems, including damage to the brain, stomach, pancreas, heart and liver.

Alcohol is an unusual depressant. At first, drinking makes you feel good. People who say that they like the ‹buzzŠ from alcohol are probably enjoying these sensations. But, alcohol doesn‰t follow the rule ‹the more you drink the better you feel.Š Instead, after a certain point, more alcohol will not make you feel any better.

Yes, that's way too much beer nightly. Are you drinking & driving? I sure hope not. If you have to drink that much, then there is a real problem. Take a good long look at yourself & ask why it is that you need to drink that much nightly. Keep it up & see what happens to your liver when it's too late to do anything about it.

I think there may be a problem with that. A beer or two nightly...nah, that's cool. But 6-10 beers EVERY NIGHT...........

Yes, because eventually your tolerance will increase to where you will need to drink more for a bigger buzz like 15 or more nightly. Your poor liver dude!
