That whole situation is completely F'ed up! And where did this "new witness" come from, and are they credible? I feel so bad for the fiancee ... and I'm known to be a little on the racist side ... but NO one deserves what Sean Bell got!

And yes I think the officers should be put in jail. They willfully disregarded the law and did not act in good faith.

I am glad that three officers were indicted. It is about time! The NYPD has been abused their power for fare too long. This is not about black and white. This is not about thugs and cops. This is about NYPD and People. Who cares if Sean had criminal records. That was NOT relevant! He was not committing a crime at time by going to a strip club at 5 AM nor was the verbal arguments nor was trying to get away from some unidentified men shooting at him. I don’t think they were shooting at them because they thought their life was in danger. I think they shot them because they thought it was legal to do so!! (most cops have this kind of mentality). And because they were heated that these guys were trying to get away. If I tell you to stop you stop or my bullets will stop you kind of mentality. These cops are very dangerous! We need to take them off the street!

i dont imagine it really is about racism. yet about injustice. there are some strong law enforcement officials and some undesirable law enforcement officials who do issues that they imagine they could get away with. im no longer debating the judgement because i dont be conscious of the actual information of the tale. yet im now to not got here across of nypd, after some years in the past they shoved a broomstick up a haitian mans a** and then danced around the broomstick. the guy is broken for life. digusting.

Why is there so much sympathy for some dickbag with prior arrests for drugs and firearms, who just happened to hit a cop while drunk? Outside of a bar in one of the worst parts of Queens, that has reputation for drugs and prostitution. What the **** is this world coming too.

Sean Bell is better off dead. I bet if he killed that cop not one of you would give a crap.

Just like in 1992 when Rodney King got his *** kicked after he ran from the police while hopped up on pcp. It was poor Rodney King. What happened a few months after his trial? he pulled the same stunt. To hell with Sean Bell.

Instead of bitching tey doing a ride along with your local PD, and then ask yourself about this case

I think that this surprise witness that came forward yesterday is a false witness. I think that the officer that reloaded 2 times and shot 31 rounds should be punished. I think that these cops obviously need more training in how to set themselves up so they don't shoot at each other so that it seems that someone else is shooting at them. I think that they didn't have a warrant for drugs and guns in the club and they had no right to follow them. I think that there was a lot of wrong done.

***********

Just heard on the news that 3 of the detectives have been indicited. Obviously there was enough to go to trial. We will find out the rest of the officers indictments on monday.

I have relatives that are police officers, and I have friends that are police officers... I can tell you that they are not very pleased with some of their co-workers' competence... the truth is that the standards have been lowered to such levels that it may possibly get worse before it starts to get better. The Shooting of shooting death of Sean Bell, Amadou Diallo and Ousmane Zongo is the result of lowered standards and the lack of professionalism within the Police Department in NYC and in other major cities across America. These shootings are not the result of racial problems or hatred of certain groups of people... it is plain old, common garden variety incompetence and malfeasance... poor training on poor personnel that don't belong in uniform and should not be allowed to carry a weapon or firearm!

Yes, there ARE a few good police officers and I KNOW that they're afraid to speak out in view of the existing Blue Wall of Silence that shields incompetent and malfeasant police officers... the same ones that make ALL police officers across the nation look bad!

There was a well written article on this a while back that outlined the whole night.

I need to find it, but after reading it it's ridiculous to convict the officers.

Edit-Found it

Also, NYPD has a guideline that states a moving vehicle is not a deadlhy weapon and officers cant fire on it. However, thats NYPD guideline, not NY Law.

No, he rammed one with his car at least 2 times. I would have shot him myself. That being said, they will sacrifice all these cops to appease the violent hoods in the black community.

It's a sad thing when the police can't do their jobs anymore without it being a "hate" or "racist" crime.

I believe that the police were fired upon but I also think that they, the police, over-reacted. 50 shots is a little much IMHO!!!!
