im in 5th grade im 11 she is 10 she thinks im a showof. her brother is my best friend she is not able to go on a date. she knows i like her. she likes me as a friend. but i want to get closer.

ur in 5th grade!!! Grow up before u start going out..plus she cant date anyways and if u really liked her, u would wait until her parents let her

At age 11 you are far too young to get any closer than just friends. You are not old enough to date in my book and at 10 neither is she. You have no clue what a more mature entails and you are not mature enough to find out. Besides you can't MAKE anyone have the same feelings for you that you do for them so either settle for friendship and wait until you are more mature and can take responsiblity for you actions to be "closer".

Just be a platonic friend and a become a platonic friend who is not a show off.
THEN, respect her parents' wishes as to when she IS able to date and don't push it. Don't even write her a love note or make any moves AT ALL as the above posters are suggesting--at the very least you'll alienate her parents and brother and then THEY won't want you to date her and I wouldn't blame them.
In the meantime, make some changes to your attitude and/or personality in a way that appeals to her, so you two can learn to be better friends now and so that she'll seriously consider you when she IS able to date later.
