Tell her you went to the doctor and had some problems...tell her he ran some tests and you just got the results back. Then tell her you found out that you had herpes.
I would tell her that you didn't have any problems before you met her, then I would tell her that you had to get it from her. I would give her a guilt trip and blame everything on her...tell her it must have been how she was raised, and that you can't believe she would get intimate with you and not tell you that she had this problem.
That should prompt her to get tested, then she will probably believe that she gave it to you and feel bad. If she thinks she gave it to you, she will probably feel real bad and not leave you.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?
But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

Oh Gosh.
Well, I'm not in the same situation as you... since I am young and single... But I am extremely mature for my age... so here it goes:
If she REALLY loves you, she'll stay, no doubt. Obviously your older than twenty... so I'm not sure if you are considering marriage in the future.
If you really want to wait and tell her, get her into a longer-term relationship (possibly engagement or marriage) then you could tell her. But it's probably better to have a good and honest relationship.
And from what I know, herpes cannot kill you. So, it's not a completely major thing.
Hope I helped!

WOW- and everyone is always getting mad at me for saying WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE MARRIED TO HAVE SEX! Here is yet ANOTHER reason WHY YOU SHOULD WAIT!!! Now to the horses a*s that asked this question- You should have told her before you had sex with her. Now you have given her a disease that has no cure before she even had a chance to make an informed decision! She has to take responsibility as well for having unprotected sex with someone she didn't know had an STD. Stop getting mad at my response to these questions people! The proof is in the pudding!!

Heck yeah, you should definitely tell her. In fact, you should have told her before you ever got involved. Hiding it does nothing good. Next time, after this girl dumps you, tell that girl you have herpes before you do anything with her. That's the responsible thing to do. Don't hide it, make it known so that they can protect themselves.

Wow you are in a whole heap of trouble.
You should definetly tell her, but it was your responsibility to tell her before you had sex.
Obviously she is going to know that she got it from you.
If she can prove that you knew you had the std before you had unprotected sex with her and you didn't tell her, she can sue you.
You are dishonest and decietfull.

I'm not sure. You should have told her before you became sexual, but now you have to tell her. You need to think about her needs

She may and I wouldn't blame her...it was absolutely wrong of you not to tell her in the beginning. I hope she finds a way to take you to court or something.
