British Air Ferries Ltd was formed in January 1963 from a merger between Channel Air Bridge and Silver City Airways. The merged company was known as British United Air Ferries until September 1967.

They originally operated ATL98 conversions of the DC4 between Southend and Ostend. Later they flew HP Heralds and I recall one Viscount.

The name British World Airlines was formally adopted in 1993. I don't know what happened after that.

British Air Ferries is quite old. From the 1960s. I wasn't even born when they flew.
