The people. I think NYC is the most culturally and ethnically varied city in the world. You can stand on a busy Manhattan street corner and see every skin color on Earth pass by & everyone gets along.

I love the fact that there is something for everyone, and you can never run out of things to do.
I love the fact that whenever I travel anywhere, and it's time to come home, home is still such a great place.
I love just going out for a walk around midtown.
I love the food - who needs to go anywhere else, when you can eat any cuisine (or do anything else, for that matter!) within a $2 ride on MTA systems?
I love sports, and New York is a sports fan's paradise. There is a local geographical rivalry in all four major sports, including three teams' fans rooting against each other in the NHL!
I love the people. They're so down-to-earth and practical. If you get to talk to them, they're also very nice.
I love our street-numbering system. Since counting is one of the first things we learn to do, how could it get any easier?
I love the international flavor. I know people from all six inhabited continents.
I'll stop. I could go on forever. But man, I do love New York!

NYCs cultural, racial, ethnic and religious diversity is part of what makes it a beautiful place.
I grew up in a very tough place (NYC housing project). Went to college here. Traveled all over. Lived in other places. I always returned and love this city more than anywhere I've been.
Wellllll... I have to admit, Chicago is also my type of town (old Blue eyes had it right)

Diversity, alot of landmarks (central park, nice), large West Indian Population (my background) south street seaport in the summer (beautiful). It's a lively city. Many shops are open till the early morning hours.

I love the crowds and activity, and all the gorgeous chicks from every race, color and creed who populate the streets. I love the smell of food all over and those street vendor hot dogs, yummy! I love the cheesy little gift shops with their crap and all the delis to choose from. I love riding around in those corny double deckeer buses, going to the Statue and taking pics of all the freaks (no offense to the freaks). I love Greek, Vietnamese, Italian, Chinese, Arab etc food you can get there. I LOVE NY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
