I think PR is so underrated and awesome. Plus it is a US commonwealth so is convenient to you in the way of money and English. I have many friends from there and it is a wonderful place with great food and people. The beaches are off the hook and the weather is almost always gorgeous. Other pluses are that it is close, cheap to fly to and things are reasonably priced. Go here and check some things out:

Cancun and Jamaica are cheap destinations. If you want to stay in the continental states, try Myrtle Beach or Florida (Miami or Orlando).

Go on a cruise....that seems like a reasonable budget for one.

If you're wanting to do something romantic, Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC are beautiful. They are historic and oh so romantic! My husband and I went to Savannah on our honeymoon and can't wait to go to Charleston. Gatlinburg, TN is also interesting.

Hope you find something fun!

Bermuda is expensive. I think you can get an all-inclusive with air fare to Dominican Republic for 4/5 nights for that price.

try the bahamas, and better still Nassau. Atlantis has plenty to offer, check the website.
