I was caught tampering an Off-peak car coupon and most likely be fined a maximum of 10k, looking at how all the previous cases had been dealt with. I have indeed learnt my lesson and would like to put this unfortunate incident behind. But I don't think I can make a lump sum payment of 10K. Can I pay through instalment? And how do I even qualify?

Depending on the Judge, if you show respect and contritness about the crime you may be able to pay by the month. You will also be given the full month to make the payment for that month, irreguardless of the due date. Good luck

It all depends on the judge and your attitude when speaking to him or her. It will be their decision and if you cannot pay it, then you will serve time in jail to pay it off. They may allow you to work your regular job and then report to jail for the evening and be paid a sum for the amount of time as well. Again it all depends on the judge and their mood.

YES, you can. Just showup to court, to the window. Ask them about setting payments, and they will, but I think you have to pay a small convenience fee. Just call and ask.

Contact the court where the ticket was issued. They will make payment arrangements with you.

YES! Just make one easy payment and you can qualify if you have that amount available in liquid capital.
