I am trying to find a nice location (ladies night) where we can have dinner and dance the night away.

Try Gonzalez & Gonzalez in the village, their specialty is mexican. After 10pm it becomes a hip dance club and gets really packed!
Also you can try Duvet, it serves french/new american food and the tables are beds. After 11pm = big club scene but its pretty expensive ($15/drink).

Here are some good restaurants to go to. I am sure you could find a lot of bars/clubs nearby to dance at:
Cafe Rafaela has great food and even better prices. There are several in Manhattan but my favorite is in Chelsea.
Sen Palace is a great place for Vegetarians. The prices are a bit spendier, but the food is phenomenal!

you can try iguana's it;s right in midtown they have a restaurant on one floor and club kind small downstairs good music. it;s good on Friday nights. also the W hotel in 47st and Broadway has a club lounge called the whiskey Thursday night ladies free its; very nice i don't know if they serve food thought...
